I am thrilled to have joined the team at Leeds Arts University in January 2026, becoming a lecturer on the Textile Design BA course.
I currently work at Leeds Arts on a part time basis, alongside my continued hybrid work for Hand & Lock London.
2026 has presented an exciting & dynamic new chapter in my career working as both an academic and a practicing textile designer side by side.
My role at Leeds Arts has focused on the incorporation of embroidery into a heavily surface pattern based curriculum, bringing in my skills and experience within stitch, embellishment and fabric manipulation to bring a new angle to the course.
LAU’s current focus centres around graduate outcomes & employability, so my position as Production & Creative Manager at H&L also provides highly relevant inspiration to the students as they go on to explore similar roles within industry.
Norwich University of the Arts
In October 2022 I presented to NUA my career in industry so far. We discussed the wide variety of roles within industry for textile practitioners and the need for collaboration!
Royal School of Needlework
In April 2021, I delivered a remote online talk to students and staff across all 3 years of study at the Royal School of Needlework, presenting my career in industry so far, my experiences on Furlough during the Covid-19 Pandemic and my future plans for my role at Hand & Lock!
University of Central Lancashire
In February 2021, I delivered a virtual lecture for UCLAN across the fashion, textiles and styling courses for their 'Fashion Stories’ Industry lecture series.
The talk presented my career in Industry so far with a specific focus on industry skills.
Uni of Bolton - ‘Talking Textiles’ Remote Lecture
In September 2020, I delivered a virtual lecture at The University of Bolton Textiles BA course along with 2 local Bolton colleges, for their 'Talking Textiles' Industry lecture series.
